I have always believed that my path to education was written in the stars. As the daughter of a teacher and a principal, I was immersed early on in a culture that valued learning, leadership, and student success. Inspired by this foundation, I pursued both my Bachelor of Education and Master’s of Education with the goal of becoming a principal.
In addition, I have had an extremely high success rate in preparing both children and adults for the interview process for entry into specialized programs and career pathways through educational consulting, specializing in preparing individuals for high-stakes interviews. I support clients in developing confidence, clarity, and the skills needed to succeed in competitive selection environments.
In my role as a principal, I have developed into a skilled and reflective leader with experience navigating the complexities of the education system while fostering inclusive and supportive school environments.
Throughout my career, I have supported hundreds of students and their families, working collaboratively to navigate the system and to advocate, plan, and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) that meet diverse learning needs, particularly within Intensive Support Programs, including gifted programs, autism programs, diagnostic kindergarten, and programs supporting students who are intellectually delayed and developmentally delayed.
Combining my skills in education with my natural ability to build meaningful connections with students, I partnered with an equally passionate educator to bring our shared vision to life. Together, we established our educational company, The LearningHook, founded on a commitment to inspire lifelong learners, support academic achievement, and build confidence in every student we work with.
Through our programs and services, we strive to empower learners to reach their full potential and develop the skills, mindset, and resilience needed for long-term success in school, career pathways, and beyond.

From my earliest years, while growing up in India, it was in my heart that I wanted to be an educator. Coming to Canada at the tender age of 9, I experienced a profound sense of loss. Leaving not only my loved ones behind, but everything that felt like “home” was a burden my young self struggled to bear. It was during this tumultuous time I was introduced to some incredible educators that provided a lifeline during a period of deep displacement. The love and support I received from my teachers along with the passionate desire from young to work in my own classroom forged a calling that has lasted 20 years.
Upon receiving my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Toronto, I went on to complete my Bachelor of Education from York University. In my 2 decades of being with the TDSB, I have had the honour of mentoring thousands of students while working alongside some of the best educators in the profession. I have also had the privilege of working within gifted classrooms during which I presented students with enriched and advanced curriculum with lessons geared towards challenging as well as meeting the unique needs of exceptional learners.
I know and have experienced firsthand that a teacher’s attention can change a life. However, over the years with our ever growing population and large classroom sizes, the individual needs of our students are sadly not being met. I would like to continue to maintain my commitment to the teaching profession by implementing the personalized support that every individualized learner deserves to ensure our future generation is set up for success.
